Review: Raw Revolution Food Bar

These bars are among the healthiest we’ve seen. The formulations are excellent with plenty of superfoods, nuts, omega fatty acids and other healthy ingredients. All raw. The bars are not going to shock your taste buds, as the flavors are somewhat mild. But all the bars are pleasant tasting and the price is competitive.

Manufacturer’s Description

Raw Revolution bars are Gluten Free • Vegan • Wheat, Corn, Soy, Trans-fat, Cholesterol and Refined Sugar Free. Raw, living foods are clean, and have higher nutrient content than cooked food. Processed foods such as protein isolates and grain based fillers are acidic and cause fermentation in the body. Taste

The Spirulina bar (one of their best-sellers) is one of the best-tasting “green superfood” energy bars we’ve tasted. This bar is a moist and slightly chewy mixture of nuts, dates, agave nactar and spirulina. It’s slightly sweet and slightly nutty with an overall pleasant taste. The tastes are mild, but their other bars, which are more fruit-filled, have stronger taste of fruits. Like other bars with green superfoods and flax meal, this bar can get slippery when it gets warm.

Review: Aristo Bar

While Aristo bars are not bad for the price, they could be a bit more exciting to stand out from the crowd. They are not the most nutritional bars, but do offer some good nuts, omega-3 fatty acids, and grains. They are slightly sweet from the cane sugar, brown rice syrup and fruits — and the crunchy crisp rice is a nice addition. The bars are relatively low in calories compared to other bars and low in protein. If you want a healthy snack with extra omega-3 fatty acids, then you might consider this product.

Taste

This bar, while it does not taste bad, does not stand out from the pack in terms of flavor. None of the flavors are strong or particularly alluring, and it’s not very sweet…and slightly sour. The texture is nice, with a little crunchiness from the crisp rice. That’s nice.

Review: Vitalicious VitaTops & VitaMuffins

I’ve heard about eating sweets and losing weight; but to be honest, I never completely believed it. I know that the concept is to curb your appetite with a filling snack that has very few calories, but I wondered if the concept really works. Now with these VitaTops cookies I think it may be possible. The cookies are very low in calories and after eating one, I felt super satisfied for a couple of hours. It is a smart snack for any occasion, sugar-free and great tasting.

The Vitalicious brand has several vital and delicious choices for healthy, low-calorie snacking…such as VitaMuffins, VitaMix, VitaCake and VitaBrownies. The muffins have plenty of protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals and is a great meal replacement or snack food for kids…and you can even get the mix and bake them yourself, saving plenty. Just be aware that the muffins contain wheat, eggs, gluten and nuts, in case of allergies.

Overall, these are great dieting products that don’t cost too much and offer decent nutrition and appetite control.
