Review: Wai Lana Yogi Bars

This is a very pure bar, made with only natural, healthy ingredients — fruits, fruit powders, nuts, juices and vitamin E from soy. You can bet that you’re getting a healthy snack with the Wai Lana bars. They offer a huge variety and a couple of bars for kids too. The taste is above average, with plenty of tangy fruit flavor coming through and crunchy nuts. These are worth checking out and at $2.99 per bar, they are about average in price.

A great tasting bar with a focus on protein — offering one of the highest protein contents we’ve seen in a 2-ounce bar. Other key ingredients are the nuts and primary flavors. There are no “superfood” ingredients but there are also no fillers and no gluten. This bar is really targeted to athletes or anyone on an exercise program who wants high levels of protein and no sucrose sugars (it does contain fructose sugars). The price is above average, but these bars are dense and one bar will fill you up.

Review: Luna Bars

The Luna Bars are made to be healthy snacks with good overall nutrition and low in calories. The bars are “enriched” with vitamins and minerals, meaning that these things are added. Overall, the taste is good and the experience is better than most, with the crunchy rice-puffs added to each bar. Although there are no superfoods in these bars to speak of, they are quite well priced and, as meal replacements, can possibly help you lose weight.

Crunchy, rice puffs make the taste experience a pleasant one with a crunchy, slightly chewy texture.
