Organic Golden Smackers patties are made without any sugar or preservatives. If you are looking for a snack without wheat or corn, or looking for something relatively healthy for your kids, then this may be a bar worth trying. It’s made with cocoa and sesame seeds — all organic and rich in minerals and vitamins.

The patty can satisfy your appetite for couple hours, and is a great source of fiber and protein. The calories in this bar are not bad at about 180 calories for bar. However, there are a lot of sweeteners in this bar, including cane sugar, agave nectar and brown rice syrup so be sure you’re going to be burning this energy throughout the day.

Taste

The taste will remind you of a chocolate candy, but it’s a little bit bitter with a taste like molasses. It’s sweetened with agave nectar and brown rice syrup, both healthy alternatives to sugar. The chocolate is sweet and is made form chocolate liquor, vanilla and soy lecithin. The sesame seeds give this bar a strong sesame flavor.
