This is a new product that will be available in stores this month (March 2009)! This bar stands out from the crowd because of its probiotics, excellent taste and texture, and organic contents. The formulation — which is heavy in organic nuts, fruits and fibers — along with the Omega-3s and fiber makes this bar an excellent alternative snack food. It’s not particularly optimized for nutrition or energy, but the ingredients will give you a bit of both. One bar is 100% natural, handcrafted and kosher…many reasons to add this awesome bar to your diet. Although it’s not super sweet, it gives you the impression you’re eating a homemade candy bar. Overall, the taste, price, and quality of ingredients in this bar makes it an excellent all-purpose product.

This bar has no preservatives (hurray!), so you must pay attention to the bar’s expiration date.

Taste & Texture

This bar looks like something you just prepared in your kitchen. The fruits and nuts are so fresh that you get their true flavors. The outside of the bar is a little gooey, because the syrup and overall formulation, but this is not a bad thing, as long as you’re expecting it. I like the gooey-ness and crunch of this bar. It’s sweet with a honey-like taste (from the agave nectar and rice syrup — not from honey) and a wonderful crunchy-nutty flavor.

Pros

The ingredients are good for health, the taste is really natural and provides some energy. It has no high fructose corn syrup, is dairy free, and it contains healthy fats, fiber and antioxidants. It can also help with regularity due to the formulation with probiotics, fruits and fibers. It’s ok for lactose intolerant diets, as it has no dairy. The price is excellent at under $1.00 per bar.

Cons

Because the absence of preservatives, it needs to be consumed quickly. Also, it can become sticky and slippery if it gets warm.
